War Child, an international charity which helps children in war stricken zones such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Uganda has announced its affiliation with this weekend’s Wilderness Festival at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire

This new pioneering festival is the brain child of the organisers of the Secret Garden Party and Mama Festivals, and is a combination of music, food, learning, literature and rejuvenation.

There will be a selection of musical acts in the main tent as well as talks and debates from organisations such as Intelligence Square and the Idler. There will be gastronomic offerings from Petersham Nurseries Cafe and Moro Restaurant.

The festival especially wants to encourage families and a variety of events have been organised for them including nature walks, lake swimming and boating. For those families planning on pitching their tents there is a specially designated family camping site.

For those who prefer their camping equipment to be a little more luxurious there is a boutique camping site with a range of accommodation available.

The Wellness Spa situated next to the Boutique campsite, offers weary festival goers hot tubs, massages and saunas.
