The organisers of the reading and Leeds festivals have announced more acts for the twin events which take place on the bank holiday weekend in August.

The winners of the annual future sound completion are finally known and will play on the BBC introducing stage on the 27th and 28th August, Circles, The Simon Pollard Band, Heart-Ships, Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles, and Castrovalva all received the highest amount of votes, while the overall winner The Coopers will play on the Festival Republic Stage.

This is an annual completion which has now been running for 11 years and offers bands and musicians from around West Yorkshire the opportunity to appear live at one of the world’s best known festivals, performing in front of thousands of spectators and giving them the opportunity to see the artists of the future.

More established groups headlining include My Chemical Romance, Pulp, Muse and the Strokes

Most visitors will spend the whole weekend, pitching their tents in designated campsites, giving them the flexibility to choose which acts they see.

Both festivals still have some tickets available; either day or weekend passes including both camping and non-camping options.

The final line-up of the Acts will be announced nearer to the date
