A Somerset campsite has been named Britain and Ireland's finest in the AA Campsite of the Year Awards which were announced yesterday.
Coinciding with the launch of the AA Caravan and Camping Britain and Ireland Guide 2013, the AA picked campsites and touring parks which catered for motorhomes, caravans and tents that had shown exceptional quality and attention to detail, going above and beyond to make them stand out above their peers.
The overall winner was named The Old Oaks Touring Park, close to Glastonbury Tor in Somerset. An adult only touring park, the venue boasts views of the Mendip Hills, superior pitches and state of the art toilet block to give a luxury feel to the exemplary campsite.
