||The summer festival season kicked doff this weekend, with the Isle of Weight Festival.
Over 75,000 people turned up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event to see a lineup of major music artists’ that headlined with Foo Fighters, Kasabian and Kings of Leon in the main arena
Other artists appearing included Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye, Kaiser Chiefs, Iggy and the Stooges, Plan B and Pixie Lott.
There was the usual array of colorful and unusual tents pitched in the campsites and the extreme wet weather on the Sunday did not deter the campers or fellow festival goers enjoying the atmosphere of the event. This is the UK after all, and most campers came prepared for all weather eventualities.
Although tickets are sold out for most major festivals this year, there is still an opportunity for many to enjoy a local festival and if you are looking to combine it into a mini-break, most offer camping facilities as well, which not only keeps the cost down but offers the convenience of being on-site the whole time.
